Raymond F. Melissa – President, FounderAs President and Founder of Melissa Data, Raymond F. Melissa is responsible for leading the firm’s corporate growth strategy and supervising its business and new product development, sales, and marketing efforts. Melissa – a 30-year computer industry veteran – co-founded several tech-oriented firms during the 1970s. Melissa co-founded Eikon, Inc., a line printer company in 1970 and in 1974, he helped launch Irvine, CA-based Printronix Inc., a computer printer manufacturer. In 1978, Melissa co-established Trilog, Inc., one of the first companies to develop a color printer.
Phil Maitino – Chief Technology OfficerPhil Maitino jump-started his career at Melissa Data as one of the company’s programmers in 1992. He shot up to the top of the executive rankings with his extensive knowledge of the company’s many data quality-centric products and solutions. Maitino is responsible for all software development, including support for its existing products and the creation of new products. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1991.
Chris Rowe – Vice President of Data ServicesChris Rowe oversees the company’s Data Enhancement Services (DES) division. He manages the DES division’s web marketing, contract sales and negotiations, account distribution, hardware and software acquisition, FTP supervision, and new business development. Rowe also leads a team of three DES supervisors. Under his guidance, Rowe’s DES team exceeded their sales goals in three of the last four years despite tough economic conditions. Rowe brings more than 15 years of managerial experience to Melissa Data.
John Melissa – Vice President of Information SystemsJohn Melissa oversees the IT, database, production and shipping functions at Melissa Data. He also works in a supporting role with the company’s accounting department, and pursues opportunities for mergers and acquisition. Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has worked as an auditor and consultant for the State of Nevada and a national CPA firm. He owned an IT consulting firm that provided comprehensive IT solutions and support. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach.
Bud Walker, Vice President of Enterprise Sales & StrategyBud Walker is responsible for managing strategy, expansion, and vision for the company’s offerings. In the role of Sales Engineer Walker has extensive experience in the field of Data Quality, and has worked with hundreds of clients to help integrate a data quality regimen into day to day operations. After more than a decade as the Product Development Manager for Melissa Data’s APIs and Web services, he now heads up management in all worldwide markets. As a data quality evangelist, Walker regularly speaks, contributes articles, and authors white papers to reflect his deep domain knowledge. Walker holds a bachelor's degree in Computer systems networking/telecommunications from the CityU.
Greg Brown, Vice President of MarketingSince 2006, Greg Brown has been in charge of the company’s brand management, business to business, internet and email marketing strategies. Having worked for over 15 years on both the client and agency side, he brings a unique perspective to developing creative, results-oriented marketing programs to acquire and retain customers. Prior to joining Melissa Data, Brown was marketing manager for Newport Corporation, a 400-million dollar laser manufacturing company in Irvine, CA. He is a DMA-certified Marketing Professional with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law.
Admound Chou – Vice President of Product DevelopmentAdmound Chou is responsible for overseeing Melissa Data’s collection of US based and global products. From product inception and development to quality assurance and technical support, he makes sure the day to day operations are functioning smoothly and efficiently. He also ensures the correctness and responsiveness of sales engineering. Starting at an entry level QA position in 2004, Admound has found his way to become the manager of the sales engineering and quality assurance teams. He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine in 2004 with a bachelors in Information and Computer Sciences and a minor in Management.
Rick Brusca, Sales Director for Data Quality SolutionsRick Brusca is in charge of the day-to-day operations of Melissa Data’s sales department for data quality solutions and software, which includes the company’s APIs, cloud-based services, and platform integrated solutions for the enterprise. Prior to joining Melissa Data in 1999, Brusca worked as an outside sale representative for Pacific Bell Wireless (now known as AT&T) and Verizon.
Richard Navarro – Senior Manager of Postal SoftwareRichard Navarro brings more than 11 years of technical experience to Melissa Data, where he is responsible for maintaining the quality of all of the company’s products and services. Navarro has extensive training in DOS, Novell, Visual Basic and SQL programming. He started his career at Melissa Data as a technical support specialist. But with his savvy technical expertise and easy-going personality, Navarro quickly rose to the top of the firm’s corporate ladder. He also is a self-proclaimed expert of Postal Bulk Mailing Procedures.
Bette Hagerty, Human Resources ManagerBette Hagerty took on a multi-faceted role in 2007, arriving at Melissa Data to oversee all aspects of Human Resources, including employee benefits, payroll, recruitment, training, compliance, policy and procedures, and development of an Affirmative Action Plan for Melissa Data’s function as a government contractor. Her experience encompasses cost accounting in aerospace and industrial safety sections, office management, and human resources, coupled with strengths in internal customer service and vast knowledge of business, payroll and accounting software. She holds a California Notary Public commission.
Dennis Bedford, Chief Compliance Officer and General CounselDennis Bedford joined Melissa Data in September 2013 and served as Director of Compliance until his appointment as General Counsel in June 2014. Among the areas he oversees are review of terms of U.S. and global contracts and license agreements, patents and trademarks, privacy and data management regulations, and internal audits. He is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Bedford received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, CA and has been admitted to the State Bar of California.
